Our Story

Built on Service. Grown Through Trust.

From a one-truck operation to one of Southeast Michigan's most respected electrical contractors.

1982

Veteran-Founded

Daniel Electric was founded by Dan Flanders, a U.S. Military veteran, in 1982.

The First Hire

Choosing Wisely

Dan hired Bill Woodhull, a young and ambitious electrician, shortly after founding the company.

1986

Building a Team

John Woodhull joined the company in 1986, after earning his Electrical Engineering degree from Michigan Tech.

Earning Trust

Becoming a Trusted Advisor

By establishing itself as a trusted advisor, Daniel Electric grew by helping customers solve problems and find a way to Yes when others could not.

For Decades

Providing Stability

Dan, Bill and John prioritized consistent work, doing everything they could to provide stable employment for those electricians who trusted their careers to the company for decades.

2008 – 2021

Showing Resilience

With Dan's retirement in 2008 and Bill's unexpected passing in 2021, John was called to lead the company through a transition period.

The Transition

Securing a Future

Focused on ensuring continuity for the company and its employees, John and Adam (Bill's son) came together to lead the team forward.

2024 – 2025

Making Plans

Adam joined as interim CFO in 2024 while building a growth strategy for the company, before completing the purchase of the company in March of 2025.

2025

Starting the Transformation

An expanded leadership team in 2025 began laying the groundwork required for aggressive and responsible company growth through the execution of a new strategic plan.

Today

Living our Values

Today, the leadership team works diligently to serve its customers, community and employees by building a company that strengthens with each completed job.
